T2 x Crab Apple - 15% reduction and thin out the extremities Permitted 16/10/2017
17/00130/TCA 12/04/2017 Works To Trees In Conservation Area Puzzletree House Eastgate Hornton Banbury OX15 6BT T1 x Mature Willow, reduce and provide adequate clearance from electricity lines. We would like to reduce it by 30% and clear any foliage away from the lines in cooperation with the current power company. We will also remove any dead or damaged branches and try to keep a consistent symmetrical shape to achieve a nice overall finish. Permitted 19/05/2017
21/02978/TCA 31/08/2021 Works To Trees In Conservation Area Puzzletree House Eastgate Hornton OX15 6BT T1, T2 x Norway Spruce; approx. 14 m in height - Reduce height by up to 4.0m and shape branches to give a natural form. Trees were planted close to the perimeter wall and have thrown out large surface roots, reduction on both to ensure no adverse affects on the wall. Permitted 11/10/2021
22/03847/TCA 22/12/2022 Works To Trees In Conservation Area Puzzletree House Eastgate Hornton OX15 6BT T1 Willow. -Pollard back to previous pollard points. Or, dependant on extent of decay in stem/s, - Pollard to 2-3 m below previous pollard points if deemed necessary. This Mature Willow was pollarded around 5 years ago. The canopy is very healthy with small amounts of dead wood. It is in close proximity to power cables, encroaching on the driveway and adjacent Cherry. The main stem has woodpecker holes which have been present for over 5 years. We would like to assess the extent of the cavities, using a probe and sounding methods. If the decay has largely increased since the last inspection we would like to reduce the tree approximately 2-3m below the previous pollard points, to reduce the forces on the main stem. T2 Cherry - Reduce back to previous points. -Thin 10%. This cherry is now in very close proximity to the overhead powerlines and fibre optic cables. It is in need of a reduction to bring back into a shape more suited to its location. Permitted 25/01/2023
25/00954/TCA 09/04/2025 Works To Trees In Conservation Area Puzzletree House Eastgate Hornton OX15 6BT T1 Willow- Reduce/pollard 8m from tips. This willow has two woodpecker holes in the main stem, which I was able to insert a 30cm probe into(see photos) situated near the house, over the driveway and near phone and electric lines, It could do significant damage if it failed. We feel that an 8m reduction should lessen the forces on the decayed stem while still keeping the tree as a main focal point of the driveway. T2 Cherry- Reduce back to previous points. This cherry is now close to the high voltage power lines. Permitted 16/05/2025
