| Proposal T1 x Cherry Laurel, T2 x Field Maple; both have been allowed to grow unchecked by previous owners of the property, have low amenity value and are causing excessive shading - Fell.
T1 x Cherry Laurel is now considerably taller than the apple trees in the orchard to the north and is causing them to grow at an angle to the north east in search of light, as well as pushing into the nearest apple tree which is an excellent productive cooking apple tree. T2 x Field Maple is even higher and has multiple poorly-developed trunks leaning at angles between south and east as well as a large overhanging canopy which causes considerable shading over the lawn, the orchard and the vegetable garden in the latter half of the day. The combined effect of the two trees is that almost no sunlight at all reaches the orchard after the sun has passed its zenith.
