Proposal
LOWER GARDEN TREES Hornbeam (T1): Pollard and reduce by 40% with branches brought back to 3-4 metres from main trunk. Reason: The tree has grown very large and out of shape, with some dead branches as well as branches hanging over neighbours' properties. I want to improve the shape of the tree and reduce the risk of damage to neighbours' properties in high winds. Sycamore (T2): Reduce the crown by 30%. Reason: the tree has grown exceptionally large, creating a lot of shade and damp in the car park area and in neighbours' properties. Risk of branch fall in high winds on neighbour's house (The Avon). Silver Birch (T3): Fell. Reason: the tree is growing out of the hedge and is leaning over into the neighbour's property (Esperance Villa), overhanging their greenhouse. Apple Trees (T4-13): Prune. Reason: general maintenance. TREES ON THE BANK The bank, overlooking the car park area, is very overcrowded with a number of large trees which are competing for light and space. As a result, many of the trees are thin and unhealthy with little greenery. I wish to thin out the trees, to improve the look and health of the remaining trees and reduce the excessive shading and dampness in the car park area and in neighbouring properties. The work I would like to do is: Yew (B1): Reduce crown by 20%. Larch (B2): Fell. Firs (B3 & B4): Fell. Leylandii (B5 & B6): Fell. Holly (B7): Reduce to bring it back underneath the power lines.
