Under the Landowners Riparian Responsibilities there is a duty to remove any fallen branches or trees that may be obstructing the water course. The Landowner is therefore seeking consent to remove the fallen trees and clear any obstruction. Where possible any work carried out to the trees will be undertaken so as to try and preserve the health and longevity of the tree in question (ie: Pollarding). It is expected that the extraction of any timber can be done so without causing any material damage to other mature trees within the woodland.
