Dear Andrew Lewis,

As a resident of Sibford for 28 years, I was saddened by the closing of the Bishop Blaise, and appalled by the cavalier attitude taken by the new owners towards an important part of the village's heritage.
My hopes were raised when it was thought that Hook Norton Brewery had made an offer for the premises, but this was rejected.

I would urge the District Council to prevent this property from becoming yet another exclusive home for wealthy incomers, and return its usage to that of a local hostelry serving the needs of the community.
