I understand a new application has been made for a change of use from Public House to private dwelling.  I urge you please not to allow this to happen..  Please do not allow our pub to be delicensed.
I believe a lot of things have been said on both sides which are unnecessary and sad.  However, this is not your concern.  Your concern is simply with the planning and future of this village and it would be very sad for any village to lose its pub. In these difficult economic times it is important to hang on to a feeling of community.  This small community is close and friendly.  Sadly the present owners of the Bishop Blaize do not appear to understand this.  I understand that several financially lucrative offers have been made for the pub and all turned down.
Please do not let them sell it or change it and allow it to be developed into something this village and friendly community really does not need.
