We wish to make you aware we object
to this new application for change of use to a private dwelling. As
previously explained the owners of the above public house made every effort to
run the pub down by making sure that no one was welcome and being quite rude to
customers. They only had one end in mind when purchasing the property and
that was to run it down and apply for change of use. If you provide this
planning then why stop with the Bishop Blaize, why doesn’t any one buy a pub in
There is demand for a village pub
here in the Sibford’s and Burdrop. You will see from the number of
letters/e-mails on this subject that this is the case. Although there is
another pub in Sibford Gower it really is a gastro pub with a small area for
“drinkers”.
Our villagers feel very strongly
about this matter and I trust you will give this email due
consideration.
