The Bishop Blaize: Planning Application
09/01557/F
This email is to object to the planning
application above on the following grounds:
1) The Bishop
Blaize public house is a village amenity and this should take precedence over
the wishes of an individual property developer
2) The pub is also a
'Destination Pub' - a typical English rural pub with a great garden and
atmosphere to which people come from many miles around Sibford
3) The
permanent closure of the pub will add to the rural decline of north
Oxfordshire
4) Nothing substantial has changed since the refusal of the
previous two applications
5) There is sufficient interest to purchase the
Bishop Blaize as a going concern and the owner has the option to sell on this
basis. Whether or not he makes less of a profit from such a sale than from
selling a private dwelling is immaterial and should have no bearing on the
matter.
6) We feel that it would be a terrible shame if, as we see it, such a
pre-meditated plan to profit from a delightful village setting were to
succeed.
