Comments: I write to object to the proposed change of use of the former Bishops Blaize public house to a private dwelling. It has been so sad to see this pub decline over the last few monthss, depriving the village of Sibford Ferris and Burdrop with a much valued local amenity. I very much hope that efforts can be made to resist this planning application and a proper search be made by the applicant to find a buyer for the property as a pub - I understand that there were interested parties waiting in July when the property was withdrawn from auction at the last minute. There is certainly no need for an additional house on this scale in the village. If anything, we are in need of additional social housing - not grand detached houses. The pub provided, and would provide again if given the opportunity, an excellent community resource, which helped bind the community together. If the property were to be de-licensed, we would lose this valued community resource. Please don't allow this happen. Michael Goodwin PublicAccess for Planning. (c) CAPS Solutions Ltd.
