Comments: The reason for the decline in trade at the Bishop Blaize was because it was badly run. Something the Noquets' do not appear to be able to take on board. If you serve cold food after a long weight, double the price of the food, run out of beer regularly on a Friday night (and therefore for the weekend), put a wide screen tv in a small bar used by people to chat in, run Kareoke on a Sunday night to "attract in the youngsters", and I could go on; you will fail in what was a tranquil country pub loved by people far and wide. In addition there has been much interest in buying the Bishop Blaize as a public house earlier this year when it was put up for auction, as there was interest when the Noquet's put in the market previously. They accepted, in writing, an offer for sale as a public house during the period of the last (failed) application for change of use. They withdrew their acceptance days before the planning committee meeting. There is absolutely no justification for the change of use of the Bishop Blaize as a public house. The Noquet's are not publicans, but petty property developers living is Spain. A search of the Bracknell District Council planning portal will show their activities in that area (where they also claim to be resident). PublicAccess for Planning. (c) CAPS Solutions Ltd.
