Comments were submitted at 23/10/2009 22:54:35 Application Summary ------------------- Application Number: 09/01275/F Address: Bishops End Burdrop Banbury Oxfordshire OX15 5RQ Proposal: Alterations and extension to barn to provide 4no. en-suite letting rooms. Case Officer: Shona King Customer Details ---------------- Name: Sarah Haden Address: Barn Close Street Through Burdrop Burdrop Oxfordshire Postcode: OX15 5RQ Comments -------- Submission Type: Customer objects to the Planning Application. Comments: We are the neighbours residing at Barn Close adjacent to the property and are the people most affected by any developent plans. We moved to Barn Close on 20.10.09 so have only just become aware of details of the planning application. We would not welcome its approval being in the close vicinity of listed buildings, including ours, in a conservation area. We are also concerned that such a development would affect the view from Barn Close. We are concerned that any future commercial use of the property should take the following into account: 1. The provision of adequate parking. Inadequate parking at the building would cause cars to be parked immediately outside neighbouring houses, including ours, bringing the issues of safety of young children in the road, including ours, late night noise and difficulty accessing roads and property entrances. We understand road congestion was a problem when the building was used as a pub. 2. The commercial viability of the Wykham Arms pub in Sibford Gower should not be threatened. Existing statistics of population to pub ratio should be considered. 3. Appropriate restoration of a historic building within a conservation area. Were conversion to residential use to be applied for only point 3 above remains for consideration. We would support such an application. PublicAccess for Planning. (c) CAPS Solutions Ltd.
