Comments: Dear Shona King As I am sure you are aware, there is still massive support for the Bishop Blaize to reopen as a pub. We have lived in the village for seven years and enjoyed many happy evenings in the Blaize. The Noquets single handedly destroyed this valued amenity. Abandoning the building during the winter months, severe damage was sustained due to an unchecked leak from a water pipe. Surely the priority should be to return the principal building to its former glory before spending a not inconsiderable sum on a secondary building in the grounds? We think the point raised by other contributors about catering for the would be residents of the accommodation is an interesting one. Is there a commitment on behalf of the Noquets to provide catering from the existing building ie the pub? If that is the case, and the pub is to reopen to residents and non residents alike, then we support the application. Yours sincerely Charlotte Bird & Michael Drake PublicAccess for Planning.
