Dear Sir
I should like to
register my objections to the proposed alterations and extension as per the
above planning application:
- The previous
planning application for this property by Mrs J Noquet to change use of the
property from a pub “The Bishops Blaize” was rejected, a position which has
not changed. I note this present application is in the name of Mr G
Noquet and refers in your planning application to a building known as “Bishops
End” (the name written on the door when the present owner closed down the
pub). Surely consent would need to be given to change use of the
building first unless the owners plan to run it as a pub again.
- The plans state the
property is Bishops Blaize Pub – as such, I can see no bar within the walls of
the main building, and with the building of the extension valuable car parking
space would also be taken up.
- What is referred to
as a “barn” is actually a lean to building which housed the beer barrels
from the pub as part of the licensed premises– as above, surely this would
need change of use first if the extension were to be granted
- I can see no
proposed alternative to keeping aforementioned beer barrels
- The proposed
development is within a conservation area and according to the plans does not
seem to be in keeping with the local building style.
- The development is
stated as being 4 rooms for letting purposes, and yet there is an access to
the 1st floor through bedroom 1 on the plans.
- This begs the
question whether the property is in reality being built as a house in its own
right, and once permission granted to go ahead and build the owner will apply
to change the use.
- The drawings of the
property are poor and give no real indication of height/size.
In conclusion, I feel
the current owner has purposefully run down the pub business in order to try and
maximize the potential of the site by applying for planning permission for a
building that in essence looks like 4 rooms to let in conjuction with running
the pub, but in reality is more likely to be a substantial property submitted on
an application based on deceipt.
Kind
