Comments: I support the return of auctions to Cotefield Farm because the parking, display area and on-site catering are far superior to those available in Bicester. I cannot see how the auctions damage the farm's surroundings: the main road is wide enough to take the traffic, the farm buildings are already in place and the neighbouring garden centre may benefit from auction visitors shopping there. Cotefield is further from my home than Bicester, so this is not my self-interested point of view. I would like to encourage a fine local business, to help the recycling of low-value second-hand goods and enjoy a Saturday morning in pleasant, spacious surroundings. There is no other auction I go to - JS Auctions is unique in its efficiency, online catalogue and range of lots on sale. Your council should be proud to have it. Recently you have forced the auctioneer to offer fewer lots per sale due to lack of space in the Bicester premises. If sales return to Cotefield, I hope you will promote them as a characterful local attraction, which they certainly are. I'm afraid that I wouldn't visit your authority's area for any other reason.
