Comments: I would like to support the application for the following reasons; 1 The site is ideally suited for the purposes of auctions both in terms of parking and accessability. 2 There is already a retail business on the site and therefore it logically cannot be turned down on the grounds that it is creating an out of town retail business. 3 The business is much better sited here than in the town centre even if there was a suitable location.I am sure an extra 200 cars in the centre of Banbury on a Saturday morning together with the associated problems of loading and unloading would not be sensible. 4 This business encourages local recycling and therefore helps to decrease landfill. 5 As well as the environmental advantages there is also the important factor of the employment of a number of local people. In these difficult times we all ought to be doing everything we can to stimulate local employment opportunities. We certainly should not be making decisions which jeopardise jobs. In conclusion I would suggest, for the reasons above, that allowing the application is a win win situation and I would urge you to allow it. Yours faithfully J.H. Smith PublicAccess for Planning.
