Comments: I don't know of anyone who objects to JS Auctions being based at Cotefield Farm. There are so many reasons for the auction to continue at this rural site. JS Auctions causes no disturbance to the surrounding area and is hidden away neatly, unlike the gym and football club opposite. JS Auctions is an important part of the local community both socially and environmentally (providing homes for items which would otherwise end up in landfill). People travel from all over the country (and Ireland) to attend JS Auctions. Bringing in extra people to Banbury on a Friday (viewing day)and Saturday (Sale Day) can only be good business for everyone. Cotefield Farm provides enough space for safe loading and unloading of furniture and it is important to note that if this auction house was based in the centre of Banbury, the town would be brought to a standstill every other Saturday! It would be sad to see the 6 members of staff employed by JS Auctions being made redundant, especially as we are now firmly in the recession. In these times it would be extremely detrimental for Banbury and Oxfordshire to lose such a valuable asset. PublicAccess for Planning. (c) CAPS Solutions Ltd.
