Comments: Not only is this a greenfield site and currently dedicated to arable farming but it is also a natural habitat for deer, fox, pheasant, rabbit and other wildlife / birds include woodpeckers. With the recent extension of the Begbroke Science Park and the addition of approximately a 200 vehicle car park which is only ever 30% occupied, I cannot appreciate why an access road approximately the same width as the A44 is required. The major cause of the "bottleneck" in Sandy Lane is due to the width of the road from the A44 roundabout and the entrance to the garden centre. With very little alteration and changes to the environment, access to the Begbroke Science Park, Sandy Lane Garden Centre, Kidlington and the various housing developments off of Sandy Lane could be greatly improved at a much reduced cost.
